A new addition to the family?

Often times, it is the Matriarch of the family that calls me for a photo shoot of the extended family. It is she who books the house and arranges for all of her kids and grandkids to come out to the mountains to celebrate a reunion – for any reason. “Give us a reason to get together and we will!” said one of my clients.

More often than not, there is a fresh face in the family that they are all excited to see. I can help to celebrate the new arrival with photos! With the multigenerational family groups, I begin the photography with the entire group first, then break down into the separate families, followed by fun shots of the grandkids with grandparents, adult siblings, all cousins etc. Finally, we end the session on the lawn with a blanket and baby. The proud Grandparents always love being photographed with the little one and I truly enjoy these moments as well.

I always offer a mix of black & white as well as color too since so I am a fan of both!!

Yes – I take outdoor baby photos. All we need is a warm summer day and a blanket!
