Family Portrait Photographer

Leisa Gibson is a modern and creative family portrait photographer based in Breckenridge & Edwards, Colorado, serving all of Summit County and the Vail Valley.

Leisa specializes in the family portraits, large and small. Her love of capturing these fun moments for families shows in the images she creates. She is known for her unique posing of kids with their parents and for treating clients like she would want her own family to be treated - with kindness, patience & respect.

Family portrait photography, senior portraits, engagements & elopements in the mountains. Leisa works on location or travels to your home or rented home. She does use lighting for some photos when the bright, snowy backgrounds demand it, but she also loves to use natural light and produces an impressive combination of posed and candid images from each session.

She books up quickly because she only schedules portrait sessions when the light is the best which means only twice a day; either in the morning or in the afternoon.

Please see her portfolio below and check out her blog to see some fun recent sneak peeks from sessions.

If you are looking for a Breckenridge, family portrait photographer, Leisa will be happy to discuss the details with you and arrange a portrait session that is custom to your needs.

Welcoming the new addition to the family !

This amazing family decided that a portrait session was in order as they now have a brand new member of the family! This little sweetie was the star of the show and all of his Uncles and one Aunt were clearly so proud of their new nephew.  A photography session on a warm, summer day is the perfect way to celebrate additions to the family – no matter the age. I had fun capturing images of all the grown siblings as well and just love the close relationships of this crew.

Ah, Summer…

I absolutely love working with kids in the summer! I guess it’s just so much easier than photographing in the snow and dealing with cold fingers and toes. If you haven’t had new portraits made of your child in a year or more… I hope these images will motivate you to reserve some time with me to capture the beauty of your family and your children in this gorgeous, Colorado summer weather.

Portraits in the snow

Tracey called and asked if I would photograph her son and mentioned that he is a senior. Naturally, I
was thinking “senior portraits”. When I pushed for some details of what they were looking for, I discovered that these were not really going to be “senior portraits” at all. He already had those taken with a suit on, she mentioned. These are going to be the “real~life” portraits of Alec. The plan was to use these photos for his graduation announcements.
Thanks M&D for trusting me to capture images of your son for such a special occasion.  Thanks for coming out even though it was dumping!! Sorry about that first location… sinking into the snow, up to our hips, wasn’t part of the plan. Thanks again for trusting me and actually following me to the second location instead of bailing out!! Alec0038-Lr Alec0052 Alec0057-Lr Alec0077-Lr Alec0092

Thanks for the Christmas Card!

Monica and her family were up in the mountains just prior to Christmas and called me for some family portraits. They have a tradition of taking new portraits and turning them into fun holiday cards. Monica made my day when she told me these were the best family portraits they’ve ever had and that she was able to make some great cards. She sent me a lovely Christmas card so I added it to the collection that I have from past clients. I love getting the cards you all create with the images I’ve taken so keep them coming!

The best things in life are the people you love, the places you’ve been and the memories you’ve made along the way.
